We cannot recommend Coopers highly enough as they have never let us down.
We drive a Nissan Patrol 4.2 GU and wanted to let you know that we are about to replace our Cooper 265/70R16 A/T3 tyres. The tyres were installed on 18/05/2012 and since then we have traveled 67,944km, towing firstly a Kimberley Kamper and more recently a North Coast Off Road "Platinum" series Van.
We have traveled on some of the best and worst of tracks including the length of the Gibb River Road, up to the Mitchell Plateau, the Tanami track (full length), the Oodnadatta track (5 times), the Birdsville track, the Bloomfield track, across the Simpson Desert as well as countless unmade roads. During that time we have only had 1 flat tyre and that was a fence staple 3 years ago.
We cannot recommend Coopers highly enough as they have never let us down, partly I believe due to the extra strength in the side-walls, which is critical when towing with a heavy ball weight. We are also fanatical about tyre rotation, pressures and speed, and put the long wear and lack of flats down to these factors.
