The Cooper S/TMAXX tyres have been on this LV for a total of 36,000 kms of which 95% has been mine site driving and we've had no punctures

Yesterday I put a set of LT265/65R17 Cooper S/TMAXX tyres onto one of our 150 Series Prado’s. The choice of tyre came about after talking to the Geotechnical Engineers that drive this LV who were complaining about grip level and punctures in the existing Bridgestone All-Terrain tyres.

It was my recommendation to have them use a tyre that was more aggressive than a normal All-Terrain but not a Mud tyre. The Cooper S/TMAXX tyres have been on this LV for a total of 36,000 kms of which 95% has been mine site driving and we've had no punctures.

Around 6 different people drive this LV week in week out and the tyre pressures are more than likely set at each service at 40psi (more pressure than I would like to see but at least they are getting checked).

I would normally of replaced these tyres around the 20,000 km mark as this is all I would see out of the Bridgestone’s on site.
