Andrew Weller

We have never had to change a tyre during a tour – not for staking and not for a blow out.

As a commercial tour operator I appreciate the value of reliable products and great service. Our tour schedules do not benefit from breakdowns, and even replacing or repairing a flat tyre is detrimental to the enjoyment of our product and service.

My tour schedule takes us to Australia’s most remote. Our vehicle is a Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series set up for remote travel, and usually travels with an off-road trailer and fully loaded.

We have been using Cooper Tyres for some years, and in July 2007 we moved to the new Cooper STT with Armor-Tek3, chiefly for the stronger side-wall protection.

Now, after almost 18 months later and 110,000km the set of six Cooper STT tyres has stood up really well. We have never had to change a tyre during a tour – not for staking and not for a blow out.

I put this down to an exceptional product, backed by the benefit of the knowledge and experience of our Cooper Tire dealer. They have provided advice, and listened for the feedback from our experience. We are vigilant drivers, especially when faced with sharp stony roads, as we know that a rock impact can destroy any tyre. In mud and rock we have watched where we “place our feet” but have found that the new STTs have taken us everywhere we wanted to go.

My recommendation is to listen first to the advice of your Cooper Tires dealer and pay attention to rotating your tyres regularly and you will be setting yourself up for the painless hassle free travelling that enables you to enjoy the beautiful country we share.
